Johnson toughens up targets on coal power and EVs
Prime minister Boris Johnson has announced that the UK will eliminate all coal-powered electricity generation by 2024 - a year earlier than originally planned - and will outlaw the sale of petrol, diesel and hybrid cars by 2035 rather than 2040.
