WPD opens tender window for 93.4MW of flexibility
Western Power Distribution (WPD) has opened its tender window for the procurement of demand response services.
26th March 2019 by Networks

WPD is seeking demand response services totalling 93.4MW within 12 geographical locations across its network. All 12 zones have a need within 2019/20, and WPD has signposted ongoing needs out to at least 2023/24.
The tender window will close on 22 April and WPD is looking for flexibility providers within these geographical locations to register their interest as soon as possible.
A postcode checker is available to help interested parties determine if they have a suitable site inside the zones.
Full details of the requirements in each zone have been published on the Flexible Power website, www.flexiblepower.co.uk/our-schemes.
The information includes: zone locations, which months each zone needs flexibility, the required availability windows and the MWhs needed within each month.
Potential participants need to register their interest by responding to WPD’s procurement notice which is available here: https://rfxxp.westernpower.co.uk/ECE.
Further zones will be released for procurement in July 2019.
