He has worked in the energy sector for over 11 years, primarily in the nuclear industry for a range of businesses including Babcock International Group, National Skills Academy for Nuclear and Thales UK.

Commenting on his new role, he said: “The energy and utilities sector performs a vital role for both the economy and society. I am extremely pleased to have joined Energy & Utility Skills at such a key time and look forward to being part of an organisation that is committed to demonstrating thought leadership in workforce renewal and skills enhancement.”
Kate Davies, chief operating officer at Energy & Utility Skills, added: “We are delighted to welcome Stephen as our strategic client director and see his appointment as key in supporting the delivery of the sector’s key priorities.
“With his industry experience and stakeholder understanding, we are confident Stephen has the skills and experience to work with our members, employers and wider stakeholders to increase our future talent pool, maximise investment in skills across the sector and in addressing anticipated skill gaps and shortages.”
