Industry recognised at Decentralised Energy Awards

Staff working in the decentralised energy industry were recognised at the Decentralised Energy Awards 2018 earlier this week.

The Decentralised Energy Awards ceremony and dinner is the Association for Decentralised Energy's (ADE's) flagship event.

This year's event was sponsored by Edina and was the biggest yet. The ADE received a record number of award entries with over 430 guests attending on the night.

The event took place at the City of London Guildhall, the oldest building in the UK with heating provided by combined heat and power.

Speaking at the event, ADE director Dr Tim Rotheray, said: "The decentralised energy industry is going through a really exciting time of transformational change and you are at the heart of it.

"And the change that we're seeing is the result of the projects that you're making happen; we wouldn't be here tonight if it weren't for you.

"Your passion, knowledge and commitment to creating a low carbon, efficient decentralised energy future energises and motivates us at the ADE to continue to advocate for you to Government.

"Tonight is a wonderful occasion to take a moment to reflect not only what has been achieved, but also the opportunities that lie ahead."
